Discover what's inside the Space Light-Up Cubes 6-Pack and how to use them for sensory play, bath time, or DIY activities.
Quick answer
The Space Light-Up Cubes 6-Pack includes six different space-themed designs that glow when added to water, making them ideal for sensory play, bath time, or as a calming nightlight.
What's inside the pack
Each 6-pack contains one cube for each space design: Rocket (multi-color glow), Earth (blue glow), Shooting star (multi-color glow), Moon (white glow), plus two additional designs (Asteroid and Sun) that complete the set. The cubes are about the size of a standard ice cube and are made from durable, non-toxic materials that are safe for children aged 3 and up.
How to use them for sensory play
Simply drop the cubes into water—whether in a bathtub, sensory bin, or a clear plastic container—and watch them light up. The glow lasts for several hours and is activated by the water, not batteries. For a more immersive experience, dim the lights to enhance the glow effect. You can also use them in dry sensory bins with rice, sand, or water beads, but the glow will be less intense.
Trade-offs to consider
These cubes are not intended for use as regular bath toys for chewing or teething—they are purely for visual sensory stimulation. The glow is best in water, so if you're looking for a toy that works equally well in dry settings, you might prefer Glo Pals' light-up characters that have a built-in switch. Also, the cubes are not floatable; they sink in water, which some children enjoy as a treasure-hunt activity.
How to decide if this pack is right for you
- Choose this pack if: Your child loves space themes and you want a set of sensory toys that work in water and can be used for both bath time and sensory bin activities.
- Consider another option if: You need a toy that works equally well in dry environments without water, or if you prefer a toy that floats for water play. Glo Pals also offers light-up character cubes that can be used in both wet and dry play.
- Best use case: Use these cubes for calming bath time routines, as a nightlight in a glass jar, or as a discovery activity in a sensory bin with water. For a longer-lasting glow, keep the cubes in water and store them in a sealed container between uses.
