Quick answer
If your child loves bright, cheerful characters, choose Lumi; if they prefer a cooler, adventurous vibe, Blair is the pick. Both include 2 liquid-activated cubes and work the same way.
Same play mechanics, different personality
Both Blair and Lumi are Glo Pals characters that include two liquid-activated light-up cubes. You place a cube in the back of the character, drop it into water, and it glows instantly. The play experience is identical: they light up baths, water tables, and sensory bins, encouraging imaginative play, sensory exploration, and cause-and-effect learning.
The real difference is the character itself. Lumi is described as a cheerful, bright figure, while Blair has a cooler, more adventurous look. This can matter if your child is drawn to specific colors or personalities, even though the functionality is the same.
Price and value: nearly identical
Both characters are priced similarly, with Blair at USD 11.21 and Lumi at USD 10.87 (compared to a catalog price of USD 16.99). The price difference is small, so your decision should be based on which character your child prefers rather than cost.
Since each set includes two cubes, you get the same amount of play value from either choice. If you're buying for a gift, either works, but knowing the child's favorite color or character style can help you pick.
How to decide: Blair or Lumi?
- Pick Lumi if: your child is drawn to bright, cheerful characters and you want a character that feels friendly and approachable. Lumi's design fits well with imaginative, sunny play. Check if your child already has a favorite color or character that matches Lumi's look.
- Pick Blair if: your child prefers a cooler, more adventurous vibe. Blair's design may appeal to kids who like bold colors or a more daring personality. Consider whether your child enjoys characters with a more playful or edgy style.
- If you're still unsure: Both characters work the same way and cost about the same. Choose based on which one your child is more likely to bond with during bath time or sensory play. If possible, show your child pictures of both and let them pick.
